Who are we?

Business Botswana (BB) was established in 1971 and registered under the Trade Unions and Employers' Act No. 23 of 1983. The organisation functions as an Employer Organisation, Chamber of Commerce, and Business Representative Body. Representing over 2500 businesses of all sizes and across all sectors and locations (through its Business Councils).

Business Botswana is committed to advocating for a vibrant private sector that plays a pivotal role in the national economy. The organisation aims to:

  1. Facilitate private sector growth: Promote initiatives that strengthen the private sector’s contribution to national economic growth.
  2. Drive economic growth and job creation: Foster innovative opportunities that will stimulate GDP growth and create employment.
  3. Represent diverse business interests: Ensure that the voices of all members, regardless of size or sector, are heard in policy discussions, decision-making, and business development initiatives.
